18 Months!

Paige is 18 months old! Time flies when you're having fun! In honor of the milestone I've made a list of 18 fun facts about Paige.

  • Paige LOVES shoes. It doesn't matter if they fit or not, she loves to wear them and can get her own shoes on pretty easily.

  • Paige also loves socks. She refused to take her socks off the other night and wore them under her PJs.

  • When Daddy comes home, Paige will stop what ever she is doing and run to see him.

  • Often times, if Paige is quiet you can find her in the corner reading books. Of course, she empties all the books off the shelf first, but she loves to read.

  • She holds the phone up to her ear, walks around the house, and talks. No one has to be on the other end...she just likes the phone.

  • Paige loves to put clothes from the washer into the dryer.

  • She likes to "help" her Daddy on the computer. Some things have taken several days to undo.

  • Her favorite thing at the park is the swing. She will ignore everything else, but wants to be endlessly pushed in the swings.

  • Paige has discovered that she can lay back in the bath and float...she's pretty good at it too.

  • Paige has to waive or meet every dog we see. She giggles and sticks her hand out so they can lick her.

  • She didn't sleep through the night until she was 17 months old...this last month has been awesome!

  • Paige loves to color, and has had to wash a few walls because of this.

  • She can climb just about anything! Last week she learned to climb INTO her crib.

  • If music is on, Paige is dancing. She jumps and spins and laughs while she dances.

  • She likes to stand on our laps and jump...we just make sure she doesn't have shoes on.

  • Paige loves chocolate...Daddy is very giving and shares with her often.

  • Her favorite word right now is "Sssss-nak" and she says it anytime she sees food.

  • She gives great hugs, and when her little arms are around you she pats your back and lays her head on your shoulder.

We love our little girl!

A Break

So I guess I've taken a break from blogging for a while. I haven't been feeling it lately...mostly because of a lack of time mamagement on my part, but also because of a great trip resulting in jet lag and time zone adjustments.
But...I'm back and hope to get things caught up soon! So stay with me friends!
Thanks!

Birthday's According to Paige

Birthdays ROCK! I've gotten a LOT of practice this year. I got to celebrate my birthday at home in Okinawa before my daddy got on a ship. Here is a picture of my first attempt at birthday cake. My mommy brought me all the way to the states for my birthday so that I could have lots of family around. We went to Myrtle Beach S.C. for a week and thats where I had my real birthday. We had cupcakes, and they were YUMMY! This is me in S.C.
Lastly, I got to have cupcakes at Grandma and Grandpa's house so some of my cousins could be there. I think we should celebrate my birthday a few more times...I'm getting pretty good with the cupcakes! I really liked the gree frosting!

In addition of lots of cake I also had two restaurant celebrations where they brought me ice cream and sang to me. And I got some great presents. It's sure great to know that so many people love me!

Mommy keeps telling me not to get used to this, because it probably won't happen next year, but I can't figure out why she says that. Oh well, Happy Birthday to ME!

Front Door Service...

What a treat tonight! The festival of Bon starts tonight. This is a yearly thing where families honor their dead. We always know when there is a holiday or festival because we can hear the drums. Well tonight I could hear the drums, and looked out our balcony door to see the drummers and dancers right there! Thanks to a telephoto lens I got some great pics of the festivities. Some of the performers were even nice enough to smile for the camera!

The Library

We were awaiting a typhoon and needed to be out of the house for a while, so what better place to go than the Library? Paige thought it was pretty cool...a huge room filled with books, puzzles, and a big open floor and no one else in sight. She could crawl around and investigate and not worry about me pulling her back or away from things that looked interesting.
She really enjoyed the puzzles, but we also brought home a big stack of books and some DVDs!

We had a good time, and then we waited out the typhoon...we were stuck inside for 3 days! Oh well, at least we had some new things to look at.

Bouncy House Fun

We went to a birthday party and they had bouncy houses set up. We threw Paige in to see what she would do. She was unsure at first, but loved it in the end! Then she showed us how strong she is by hanging on the supports for the tent.
